On-Site Conveniences

 

Many of the conveniences provided for patients and families are also available for employees. When employees are short on time or don’t want to drive elsewhere, they can take care of many of their needs without ever leaving the hospital.

 

Dining  

Who said hospital food had to be bad? At PIH, employees can enjoy delicious food prepared by highly qualified food service staff. Dining at PIH is also very affordable, much less than one would pay at a restaurant. Check out these great options: 

Tower Café
The Tower Café offers service nearly round-the-clock and offers both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The menus changes daily and offer exciting dishes such as steak with bourban and brown sugar glaze or fish with orange pecan sauce. The Innovation Station, located within the Tower Café offers exhibition cooking featuring a hot entrée or salad, such as tempura shrimp or edamame nut salad. 

The Grill Station is also very popular and offers made to order eggs, omelets, breakfast burritos, pancakes, and other breakfast items.. In addition, homemade soups and pizzas, a large salad bar, and desserts are available daily.

Another option is Jazzman’s which serves gourmet coffee and tea, as well as freshly baked pastries, sweets, sandwiches and salads.

Forgot to buy a gift for your anniversary or do you want to read a magazine on your break? No problem! PIH has one of the best hospital gift shops in Southern CA, the “Forget Me Not Gift Shop”.

Banking

If you are short on cash, PIH has multiple ATM’s on the hospital campus. Don’t like to carry cash? No problem! Employees can use their employee badge for purchases in the hospital and it gets deducted from their paycheck.

 

Pastoral Care

The Office of Pastoral Care is committed to providing compassionate spiritual and emotional support to patients, family members, friends, and employees.  As members of an interdisciplinary team of care givers, Chaplains help ensure provision of care that respects the cultural values and spiritual traditions of each patient.  We believe that “well being” includes spiritual as well as physical and emotional health. 

Chaplains in the Office of Pastoral Care believe that spirituality reflects a bond we all share as we search for meaning and value in our lives, and we offer spiritual care to people of all faith perspectives and traditions.
